From Struggling to £100k: How Base Logic AI Helped Me Save My Business

I’m Roman, the owner of Drainblock Services, where we handle drain unblocking and maintenance for homes and businesses.

About 18 months ago, things were looking pretty sketchy for me, and I was seriously considering shutting my business down. My ad spend was crippling me, but still no one knew about my business, and I was really struggling. I knew something had to change, but I didn’t know where to start.

These simple changes made a huge difference. I went from being buried on page 5 of Google to appearing on page 1. I’ve massively reduced my ad spend, and there are times I’m not spending anything at all. Thanks to the SEO-rich content and blogs, I even started showing up in the AI Overviews.

As more work started coming in and things really started to take off for me, I was able to buy more equipment instead of hiring it, and to offer more services.

Stage 2: Expansion

Base Logic AI built me  60 highly localized service pages for every area in Cornwall. They sorted me out with a new phone system with 5 new local phone numbers, new booking system and a new job intelligence system for my marketing campaigns that are based on regional issues and high-season jobs.

Pretty quickly DrainBlock Services was onto the 1st page of Google searches for my services in Cornwall. I’ve recently had to take on more engineers as more work  started coming in from Cornwall.

Going forwards

Over the next 3 years or so, we’re going to be concentrating on business support systems for taking on more staff and buying more equipment, with the ultimate goal of franchising Drainblock Services.

And I have every confidence that by continuing to work with Base Logic AI,we’ll get there!
